Excellent A Forgotten Treasure

Would you recommend the Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol [DVD] to a friend? YES
Pros: sweet, excellent music, great animation
Cons: it isn't shown enough on TV

Review: This is my all-time Christmas favorite. It was first shown on TV a few times in the 1960s, then it seemed to disappear and I still can't imagine why. It is a sweet, 60 minute play within a play. Mr McGoo of course stars as Scrooge and plays him to perfection. (You don't need to have known Mr. McGoo in his heyday to appreciate him here.) The Carol is told as accurately and well as any 60 minute cartoon possibly could. The best part of all is the music. Every song is beautiful and memorable. My sister and I can remember and sing our favorite all year long. It is appropriate and fun for any age. If you have any size DVD collection at all you should include this. No collection? Start one!
