Like the other volumes in the yearly series, there are plenty of anthems and stomping dance tunes on Dance Party (Like It's 2004). Mixers the Happy Boys spin it mainstream and really don't worry much about clean mixing or blending songs. Big names like Wayne Wonder, Deborah Cox, and Crystal Waters show up along with some great unknowns. L.C. Anderson vs. Psycho Radio's "Right Stuff" is a fun bit of revivalist electro and Kreo's "Burn for You" contains not one, but two hooks that will be impossible to forget anytime soon. Hearing Dawn Penn's "No, No, No" clubbed out by Manijama is fun, and the additional shine put on it by British house team K-Klass makes it the highlight. ~ David Jeffries
