With song titles like "Marrakesh," "Blues by the Ganges," and "Moroccan Roll," it's clear that this is Steven Halpern's take on world fusion. DEJA-BLUES began its life in 1978, as an album called HEAR TO ETERNITY. Twenty years later, as Halpern transferred the master tapes to digital format, he was inspired to re-release the record with refurbished arrangements and other embellishments. The result is this collection of hypnotic, Middle Eastern-tinged dance numbers that lead the listener on a soulful inward journey.
