Personnel: Hans Tammen (guitar); Alfred 23 Harth (bass clarinet, tenor saxophone); Chris Dahlgren (electronics).
Recording information: The Knitting Factory (2001).
Recorded at New York City's venerable Knitting Factory in 2001, this concert finds Hans Tammen meshing his edgy "endangered guitar" sound with the improvised noise bursts and beats of fellow avant-garde luminaries Alfred 23 Harth (reeds), Chris Dahlgren (bass and electronics), and Jay Rosen (drums). While the group occasionally offers up moments of quiet reflection, it often goes for a frenetic frontal assault, recalling the work of fellow downtown fixture John Zorn.
