British ambient duo Lemon Jelly debuted in a big way with the successful LEMONJELLY.KY, but as that was really a collection of their early EPs, LOST HORIZONS is their proper debut album. As such, it's a fully formed sonic statement that maintains the warm, accessible sound that is the Lemon Jelly trademark, while mixing in a variety of other elements. Amid the sunny tinkling and mellow murmurs are snatches of spoken word, syncopated jazz loops, straight-up dance beats, and touches of crackly glitchtronica.

CMJ (10/14/02, p.7) - "...LJ remains as lush and snarky as ever here, mixing up samples of astronauts and ramblin' men with sliced-up lounge, hip-hop-inflected grooves, expansive orchestrations and decidedly Brit melodies..."
