Conflicting with its title, this disc contains ten different DJ/producers remixing various tracks by German techno deity Sven Vath. To his credit, Vath does not seek out bigger name remixers to add marketability. Instead, he hands the master tapes over to his mostly German techno mafia and lets new artists like Richard Bartz and Steve Bug have a go. Cologne minimalism guru Michael Mayer turns in a dub-loop-heavy remix of "Face It" that sounds exactly like the minimal techno he champions at the Kompakt record store. Anthony Rother turns "Schubdse" into an electro workout, and Simon Begg (aka SI Begg) does the same thing to the same track, but with quite different results. There is also track-y techno by Thomas Krome, Johannes Heil, and Detroit expatriate Claude Young. Every artist returns with a version that has more to do with their own style than the original's, which actually makes this collection much more diverse than any of Vath's proper albums. ~ Joshua Glazer
