The moment young Edie got behind the wheel of a car, she punched the gas and never looked back. Meanwhile, all Jean does is look back. A solitary senior whose mind is slowly deteriorating, she sits alone in her silent house, and drifts back to the days when she was surrounded by family. When Edie drifts into a small town and meets Cal, a kindly young man who works at the local diner, their mutual desire to break free from the past bonds them instantly. But sometimes in order to get a clean start, we must first make peace with our former lives. And when Edie meets Jean, it's the dawn of a new era for everyone.
