Amanda Redman stars as Sandra Pullman, a British police superintendent heading up a group of aging, weather-beaten cops. Each man is wrestling with a grave personal crisis: Brian Lane struggles with alcoholism, Gerry Standing weathers an emotionally-strained relationship with his daughter,Jack Halford (James Bolam) can't seem to get over his wife's murder. Meanwhile, Sandra herself uncovers details about her family's complicated past. Series Six originally aired on English television from July 16, 2009 through September 3, 2009, and contains eight installments, all of which appear in this box set. These include: THE WAR AGAINST DRUGS, SHADOW SHOW, DEATH OF A TIMESHARE SALESMAN, BLOOD IS THICKER THAN WATER and MEAT IS MURDER.
