Using the common crime drama (especially in its film noir manifestations) of the flashback, THE FALLS tells the story of a man searching for his missing girlfriend, which leads him across New York state. Seeking her leads to an epic journey from New York City to Buffalo, and ultimately to Niagara Falls. THE FALLS was an official selection at a number of independent film festivals, including the Phoenix and Garden State Film Festivals. It also stands out as an example how personal filmmaking has evolved to include every conceivable genre for first time directors, as it was shot economically on digital video, with the digital effects and editing completed by director DeNigris himself.
