  • On September 14, 1982, the world lost an icon - and one of its most revered women - when 52-year-old Princess Grace Kelly perished from a stroke and a resultant automobile accident on the road to Monaco. Prior to this, she led one of the most remarkable and closely-observed lives of the 20th Century - from her meteoric rise to movie stardom between the ages of 20 and 26, through her marriage in 1956 to Prince Rainier of Monaco and the couple's decision to have and raise a family. Then, in the years just prior to Grace's death, daughters Caroline and Stphanie also entered the limelight, but became known for scandalous behavior that threatened to tarnish Grace's spotless reputation. Following the princess's death, the family experienced a reconciliation with itself and the daughters traveled straighter and less controversial paths, raising families of their own. This installment of the Lifetime cable network's INTIMATE PORTRAIT series offers biographical profiles of all three women from the Monaco dynasty - drawing on candid discussions, vintage photographs and more.
