The various-artists collection Priceless Jazz selects highlights from GRP's compilation series of the same name. The disc gives a good idea of what the series is about, offering tracks by the Crusaders, the Yellowjackets, Keith Jarrett, Gil Evans, Tom Scott, Carmen McRae, Ramsey Lewis and Ahmad Jamal, among others. Considering its ultra-cheap price (under five dollars), the sampler is a worthwhile purchase for curious novices, interested in what these artists and this series are like. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine
