    Released for the first time on CD, this 1982 album by Pat Travers finds the Canadian rock singer/guitarist in fine form. "I La La La Love You" curiously combines a bluesy vibe and of-the-era synthesizer lines, while "I'd Rather See You Dead" is a dramatic power ballad. For hard-rock fans unfamiliar with Travers, BLACK PEARL is an excellent place to start exploring his often-overlooked catalogue.
