    Nothing on this 11-song James Brown collection is less than stellar (why do you think they call him the Hardest Working Man in Show Business?) and the collection manages to strike a nice balance between Brown's 1960s soul hits ("Papa's Got a Brand New Bag," "Night Train," "I Got You") and his later funk excursions ("Get on the Good Foot," "Cold Sweat"), classics all. The only other criticism you can level is that you can't actually SEE Brown's legendary cape routine during "Prisoner of Love," the churning, emotion-ridden showcase that was a centerpiece of Brown's concerts for decades.
