    When underground rapper Anticon recording artist Sole hooked up with three-piece band Skyrider for 2007's SOLE AND THE SKYRIDER BAND, it proved an auspicious collaboration for both parties. Muscular and textural, the Skyrider band supplanted Sole's previously digital soundscapes with an organic sound, lending the perfect backdrop to his complex flows and nimble wordplay. REMIX ALBUM (2009) puts tracks from the band's first outing back through the mixing board, adding electronic layers, but the original collaborative magic is never lost.
