    On their debut disc, Seattle's 2nd Nature tentatively cross into territory owned by R&B hit makers like Boys II Men but the journey is cut short by a major road block. While the quartet is vocally capable, it is the songwriting efforts of producers Oman and Don Quijano that hold the men back from making What Comes Natural a more successful outing. Divided into a three-part relationship cycle, the writers follow in the well-worn tracks, grooves and clichs of other similar smooth R&B/pop songs without ever straying from the path. It is only in their a cappella rendition of "Lift Every Voice and Sing" that 2nd Nature finds their own piece of land to build on. ~ Aaron Latham
