Celebrating a dozen years and 11 albums since his debut, 12 is Keller Williams' first anthology. Its 12 songs cover the breadth of Williams's career, from jam band noodle-dance favorites like "Freeker By the Speaker" to explorations in electronic dance music, traditional bluegrass, and John Fahey-style alternative folk. A gifted guitarist with a varied, adaptable style, and a laconic, sly singer, Williams is the J.J. Cale of the jam band generation, a musician who's just slightly too cool and laid-back to be either a guitar hero or a vocal powerhouse--and that's a huge part of his charm.
