Brilliant actor Robert Forster (JACKIE BROWN and MEDIUM COOL) plays a psychotic psychiatrist who bases all his decisions on the flip of a coin, including whether or not to murder someone. He picks up a woman (Amanda Plummer; "Honey Bunny" in PULP FICTION) in the desert after she's been run off the road, then later gives her beautiful hitch-hiking younger sister (Fairuza Balk of THE ISLAND OF DR. MOREAU and PERSONAL VELOCITY) a ride. Paul Sorvino (BERT D'ANGELO and GOODFELLAS; father of Mira) plays a sheriff in desperate pursuit, with Chris Sarandon (ex-husband of Susan; THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS) as his beleaguered deputy.
