  • Fans of vintage television will remember the detective series HARRY-O for its distinctive set-up and central character. Former fugitive David Janssen starred as Harry Orwell, a USAF veteran and ex-cop pensioned after being injured while on duty. To supplement his police department income, Harry worked as a private investigator, taking only the cases that interested him. What made the series interesting were Harry's left-of-center, bohemian lifestyle (he lived in a beachfront cottage just outside of San Diego) and his taste for gorgeous women, who paraded in and out of every episode and often helped determine which cases Harry chose. One of those women was a very young yet noticeable Farrah Fawcett. Following a one-hour pilot that aired on Sunday, March 11, 1973, Season One began September 12, 1974 and lasted 22 episodes. This box set contains all 22 of those episodes but excludes the 1973 pilot and the telemovie SMILE, JENNY, YOU'RE DEAD.
