  • Between 1964 and 1966, screen icon Clint Eastwood and celebrated Italian director Sergio Leone (one of the godfathers of the Eurowestern)) teamed up for a trilogy westerns that put the legendary Man with No Name bounty hunter on the map; those three pictures appear back to back in this box set. It all begins with 1964's A FISTFUL OF DOLLARS, a remake of YOJIMBO that finds The Man arriving in a toxic border community, where he becomes implicated in the struggle between two families battling for control of the town. The 1965 sequel, FOR A FEW DOLLARS MORE, brings Klaus Kinski and Lee Van Cleef into the fold, as The Man competes with Colonel Mortimer (Van Cleef) in a quest to bring a ruthless bandit named Indio (Gian-Maria Volonte) to justice. Finally, THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY (1966) - which many regard as Leone's masterpiece - finds The Man teaming with two gunslingers (Eli Wallach and Lee Van Cleef) to retrieve a fortune in stolen gold.
