Bringing together tracks from, among others, Lattimore Brown and Jimmy Church, as well as several early sides from Bobby Hebb, this collection chronicles the Nashville-based Rich Records label. These obscure yet delightful sides were, as the subtitle indicates, recorded variously in Nashville, New Orleans, and Detroit throughout the 1960s, and contain touches of the country, R&B,and soul sounds on which those venerable towns built their musical reputations. Of particular interest to collectors is the J.J. Barnes cut "Won't You Let Me Know," which contains one of the first known recorded performances from Motown staples Martha & the Vandellas.
