Produced by Jim Rooney, this album contains a baker's dozen of new Alger songs, including his Garth Brooks hit "The Thunder Rolls." Alger is supported by such artists as Tim O'Brien, Trisha Yearwood, Kathy Mattea and the solid Roy Husky Jr. While most of these tracks are good, straight, coverable country-folk songs, some have a deeper irony such as the final song, "Unanswered Prayers." ~ Richard Meyer

  • Critic Reviews
Stereo Review (4/94, p.90) - Performance: For Your Quiet Moments / Recording: Good - "...Alger bears more stylistic comparisons to the low-key Don Williams...than the bombastic [Garth] Brooks, framing his songs in mostly acoustic coffeehouse arrangements with little razzle-dazzle..."
