  • Story adaptation by Ben Feiner, Jr. Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart ended their collaboration in 1941, only two years before Hart's death. Rodgers then began a fruitful partnership with Oscar Hammerstein II, with whom he created such classics as "Oklahoma!," "Carousel," "South Pacific," and "The Sound of Music." Color by Technicolor. Songs include: "Where or When" "Lady Is a Tramp" "Mountain Greenery" "There's a Small Hotel" "With a Song in My Heart" "My Heart Stood Still" Musical numbers include: June Allyson singing "Thou Swell" from "Connecticut Yankee" Judy Garland singing "Johnny One-Note" Judy Garland and Mickey Rooney singing "I Wish I Were in Love Again" Lena Horne singing "Where or When" and "Lady Is a Tramp" Gene Kelly and Vera-Ellen dancing to "Slaughter on 10th Avenue" Mel Torme singing "Blue Moon" The film uses an excerpt from the 1937 film "Camille," directed by George Cukor. Dee Turnell also appears in the film as herself.
