Once upon a time, boys and girls, in the days of big lapels and the Rockford Files, there was a thing called AM radio, which poured forth a seemingly endless stream of seamlessly concocted pop songs, mostly sugar-sweet love ballads, heavy on the hooks and light on the hipness factor. The producers of THE ONE AND ONLY LOVE ALBUM apparently remember those days quite well, and they commemorate that period with a two-disc set. This compilation contains both classic '70s AM hits like Ambrosia's "How Much I Feel" and Abba's "Fernando," and a smattering of their '80s equivalents; Spandau Ballet's "True," Foreigner's "I Want To Know What Love Is," etc. If you want to immerse yourself in that post-Watergate, hot tub vibe, THE ONE AND ONLY LOVE ALBUM will take you there.
