The links from here to there are not always the easiest or most sensible way to get to wherever it is they're going, but Friend\/Enemy does have a certain charge that makes 10 Songs something of a twist-and-turn adventure. The melodies are often jarring,and the rhythmic slips bleed punk into some sort of post-millennium jazz-funk thing, but there's not much here that you haven't heard before.
