In May 1960, the Chinese climbing outfit known as the Commandos prepares for their fifth attempt at Mount Everest's most notorious pass beneath its cliff. Despite the team's physical and emotional struggle, they press on, determined to summit the mountain. However, just as they believe they are close to reaching their goal, a significant storm completely blocks their one clear path.
