Abenteuer

Schlager singer Andrea Berg began her collaboration with producer Dieter Bohlen on 2010's number one album Schwerelos, and the collaboration continues on Abenteuer. Berg wrote all the lyrics herself, while the music was composed by Bohlen, and the album's 14 tracks feature the producer's trademark sound. Thematically, many of the songs revolve around love, but they often discuss life's disappointments and frustrations, as on "Lebenslänglich" (which is about a failed relationship) and "Seelenverwandt" (which is dedicated to Berg's father, who died from cancer in April 2011). Abenteuer, which reached the number one spot in the German and Austrian album charts, is also available as a deluxe edition featuring a 60-minute DVD with live clips and behind-the-scenes material, and as a premium edition featuring the DVD, four additional tracks, and a second CD with another six bonus tracks. ~ Christian Genzel
