Adventures of Champion, Vols. 1 and 2

Set in the 1880s, this collection follows a 12-year-old boy named Ricky North and his loyal friend Champion, a wild stallion whom he befriends while living on his uncle's ranch. Along with his trusty German Shepherd, Ricky and Champion find themselves facing everything from crooked prospectors and trappers, to snake-oil salesmen and a gang of workers building a railroad.
