All Time Reggae Hits

This 16-track collection hardly contains what anyone would deem the all-time greatest hits of reggae, although it does have some nice selections, including Eric Donaldson's classic "Cherry Oh Baby," the always elegant Delroy Wilson's beautiful "Let There Be Love," and the original and best version (he would re-record it during his Island years) of Bob Marley's "Duppy Conqueror," but in the end this adds up to be a mostly hit or miss anthology, pleasant as far as it goes, but nothing really essential. ~ Steve Leggett
