In 1966, following the footsteps of the American Folk & Blues Festival, a slew of the country's finest traditional folk and bluegrass musicians traveled through Europe to give listeners across the pond a taste of U.S. musical history. All captured on this two-disc set, Ralph Stanley & the Clinch Mountain Boys, Roscoe Holcomb, the New Lost City Ramblers and others do their best to spread the sound of heart-and-soul American roots music to the rest of the world. The tunes are interspersed with commentary from some of the performers for added context.
