Basher: The Best of Nick Lowe

This is 25-song tour through Nick Lowe's first seven albums, which represented a more-or-less unbroken stream of yearly releases before he changed his pace (he released three full albums of new material in the next decade). More than half is culled from THE JESUS OF COOL and LABOUR OF LUST, with the remaining 11 songs leaning most heavily on the grand ROSE OF ENGLAND, but including something from every album he made (only one from PINKER AND PROUDER THAN PREVIOUS, but a good one it is). BASHER serves as a perfect introduction into the world of Nick Lowe. It's an inviting and catchy world, one that can be nicely embellished by next visiting each of his full creations.
