Clay Walker recorded the bulk of his hits for Giant, a subsidiary of Warner, but 2014's The Best of Clay Walker was released on Curb, a subsidiary of EMI. Walker signed to Curb in 2007 and had a couple of hits there, hits that are placed at the beginning of this compilation: "She Won't Be Lonely Long," "Fall," "'Fore She Was Mama." The other remaining seven songs are new re-recordings of old Giant songs. Walker is in good form, but any fan looking for the original hits will bound to be disappointed by this budget-line set. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine
