Best of Redd Foxx [Truck Stop]

It doesn't provide a clue as to the origin of the material (there are no liner notes or recording information aboard), but this is classic, raunchy Redd Foxx all the way. Although the tray card on the back lists 20 separate tracks, the disc plays as one continuous track, almost 28 minutes in length. Accompanied by a piano player who sounds as if he's also operating an electronic drum machine on the punch lines, Foxx runs through a stream-of-consciousness rant that keeps the small crowd involved every joke of the way. Not his best, but a nice one to add to the collection. ~ Cub Koda
