Between Two Worlds

Marianne Winckler goes undercover in northern France to write her next book, an exposé of working-class exploitation in the region. Working as a cleaning lady on a ferry, she learns that her coworkers have few resources and fewer opportunities. As her research continues, she struggles with the deception she's created but tells herself it is for the greater good. But she begins to question whether she really helping or is just another person taking advantage of their vulnerability.
