The rock band BIRD 3 mix up a perfectly measured recipe of experimental alternative rock with the directness of classic rock. Elements from bands like the Foo Fighters, the Smashing Pumpkins, and the Who can all be heard. This eponymous record, produced by Nick Didia (who has also worked with alternative rock luminaries Peal Jam and Stone Temple Pilots), is mastered here in the crisp and clear 6-channel Surround Sound that is specific to the wonderful DVD-Audio format.
