Blankman [WS/P&S]

Mike Binder's comic-book hero comedy Blankman comes to DVD with a pair of transfers. The widescreen transfer preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1 and is preferable to the standard full-frame transfer. English soundtracks are rendered in both Dolby Digital 5.1 and Dolby Digital Surround, while a French soundtrack has been recorded in Dolby Digital Stereo. English, French, Spanish, Chinese, Korean, Portuguese, and Thai subtitles are accessible. Supplemental materials include theatrical trailers. This is a fine release from Columbia/TriStar that becomes more palatable when one considers the inexpensive list price.
