After learning of her husband's extra-marital affair, Cathy retreats to her sister's house where she whiles away time compulsively making the place spotless while spying on the new neighbor. One by one, she encounters every member of the family that moved next door, the Dad, the Mom, and the pubescent son, which leads to the gradual unraveling of her moral and sexual consciousness.
