Breaking Bread

In 2014, microbiologist Nof Atamna-Ismaeel made history when she became the first Muslim-Arab to win Israel's MasterChef. Fast forward a few years later, this documentary film follows the doctor-chef as she organizes the A-Sham Arabic Food Festival, an event in Haifa where Arab and Jewish chefs are encouraged to celebrate their tightly knit culinary history while exchanging recipes, techniques, and stories.
