Buddha-Bar Classical Chillharmonic

Buddha-Bar's second dip into the world of classical music bends the term like never before, but these electro-fied and chilled-out versions of classical pieces work well with the brand's "Art of Living" lounge concept. Mozart, Brahms, Schubert, and other faves from the early 1900s and before get their popular melodies adapted into smooth background music for chillout rooms. Nothing goes overboard, although the cuts with samples from the world of opera are "operatic" almost to a fault, and even if purists will scream and run away in horror, they're missing the point. Better to think of the usual Buddha-Bar material (light house music and ambient pieces that border on new age) with a bit of a classical infusion. ~ David Jeffries
