Cancer4Cure

Coming off his collaborative effort with rapper Killer Mike -- the excellent album R.A.P. Music -- maverick producer El-P returns with his own 2012 LP, Cancer for Cure. Five years in the making, the album is also the first release from El-P since his Definitive Jux label went "on hiatus," but he's found a welcoming home on the adventurous Fat Possum imprint. Expect dense excellence and murky funk, along with a powerful but shorter than usual guest list, with Danny Brown, Mr. Muthafuckin' eXquire, and Killer Mike all lending a hand.
