Clinging Vine/Age of Ballyhoo

The great Gloria Swanson narrates THE AGE OF BALLYHOO, a terrific 1970s documentary about the Roaring Twenties, adding her own highly interesting personal memories to an abundance of film clips and photographs that capture the heady spirit of the times. Also included here is THE CLINGING VINE, a rare Cecil B. DeMille production from 1926--a little-known silent classic from one of the early masters of film, starring Leatrice Joy as a professional woman who, in the spirit of the times, cannot find love or happiness until she rediscovers her "feminine" side.
