The International Playboys: Cap'n Sextastic (guitar); The Count (electric bass); Joe Danger (drums); Monty Carlo .
Personnel: Monty Carlo (vocals); Joe Danger (drums).
Audio Mixer: Ryan Anderson.
Recording information: Mars Studio, Bellingham, WA (12/2005).
The Montana band the International Playboys play R&B-inspired riff-rock with its roots in the Playboys' scuzzy bar band beginnings. The hard-nosed "He Misplaced You" rocks mightily, with a crowd-pleasing singalong chorus and a bluesy, stinging slide guitar boogie coda, while the band's theme, "The Ballad of the International Playboys," nails its colors to the mast with its tale of chaotic, alcohol-fueled van tours set against a raucous, punk rock backdrop.
