THE CONTINUING ADVENTURES OF TARAF DE HAIDUOKS is a lavishly packaged introduction to one of Romania's most beloved and accomplished Gypsy bands. Formed in 1989 as both a serious excavation of the musical history of the Roma peoples and a rollicking party band, Taraf de Haidouks have done a fine job on both sides of their self-appointed musical brief. This set includes an eight-track live disc recorded at London's Union Chapel in 2006, plus a lengthy DVD that includes not only video shot during this concert but an extensive documentary about the band that includes lengthy interviews with the bandmembers and testimonials from famous fans including Johnny Depp.
