Country Daze: 15 Original Hits

Green Hill's 2014 collection Country Daze: 15 Original Hits collects 15 hits from the '70s, '80s, '90s and beyond, with an emphasis on songs from the '90s. Some of these songs conjure a specific time (Big & Rich's "Comin' to Your City"), some are contemporary classics (Nitty Gritty Dirt Band's "Fishin' in the Dark," Willie Nelson's "Whiskey River"), but most fall somewhere in between. There's no real rhyme or reason for what's featured but the end result is like a pleasant hour on a throwback radio station. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine
