Denise Ho — Becoming the Song is a documentary that centers on the Hong Kong-based Cantopop songstress Denice Ho, a vocal pro-democracy and human rights activist and the first mainstream artist in Hong Kong to proudly come out as part of the LGBTQ community. The film explores her growth as a cultural icon, from being an uber-successful commercial pop star to an artist who is willing to risk her career to fight for what she believes in.
