Devotion is a stop gap release for popular indie rock band Anberlin after the acclaimed Vital, designed and assembled primarily to appeal to their fan base. This first disc in this double package replicates most of the songs on Vital with some changes in production and mixing; these aren't re-recordings exactly, but subtle alterations to the originals. Every fourth track is an outtake or alternate from the Vital sessions. The second disc is a live album recorded during the Vital tour, and this crackling set will appeal to fans most. The package is well-designed and packaged in a handsome sleeve.
