Distant Harmony: Pavarotti in China

This documentary covers the two-week 1986 tour of China by Italian tenor Luciano Pavarotti. The famous opera singer is given the royal treatment in Beijing where he is entertained by folk musicians, dancers, and acrobats. In his concert performances, Pavarotti is accompanied by Kallen Esperian, Madelyn Renee, and selected musicians from the Genoa Opera Company Orchestra and Chorus.
