Army Ranger Jackson Briggs brings along Lulu, an aging Belgian Malinois on a road trip to attend the funeral of his best friend, who is also the dog's former handler. The traveling companions drive each other crazy along the way but it also leads them to experience an unlikely adventure, self-discovery, and opening up their hearts for one another.
