A teen's violent behavior triggers a war between science and religion in this thought-provoking film. Psychotherapist Jane (Carice van Houten) journeys to a small island community off the coast of Ireland to investigate the case of Dorothy Mills, a teenager who strangled a young girl. Jane diagnoses Dorothy with multiple-personality disorder, but Pastor Ross is convinced the girl has been possessed by the devil.
