Eternity

This album comes with the following printed on the cover: "In case your neighbors haven't got this CD -- crank it up so they can hear! They will start drumming on their walls." Well, it all depends on the neighbors, but they may actually be drumming to the music, because it is good. Mattsson's style at first seems to be closely related to the Yngwie Malmsteen school, but really it is much more real and meaty. Consider this album very strong, meaty, and solid heavy metal with brief wanderings into the neo-classical virtuosity. If you are into old-school metal/hard rock and would like to see it infused with more modern sounds, give this one a try. You won't regret it, and perhaps you can get your neighbors drumming. ~ Gary Hill
