Eugene Ugorski / Konstantin Lifschit - Live From The Miami Int. Piano Festival

One of the most fascinating aspects of classical performance involves the ability of strangers to come together for the first time, discover an instant rapport across the bridge of music, and form lifelong associations and partnerships based on that one brief, initial encounter. That exact experience befell Russian violinist Eugene Ugorski and Russian concert pianist Konstantin Lifschitz; the two first joined forces on May 22, 2009 at the Miami International Piano Festival, which launched them on a seemingly endless series of acclaimed classical engagements. A film of that first concert set in Miami appears in this home release. Selections by Ugorski and Lifschitz include: Ravel's Tzigane for Violin and Piano, Bach's Chaconne from Partita No. 2 in D Minor for Violin Solo, BWV 1004, and Strauss's Sonata in E-flat Major for Violin and Piano, Op. 18.
